159 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make a statement on the draft document on a new system of indemnifying the public work of hospital consultants; and the input his Department had in compiling the draft document. [17353/01]
The draft scope of cover document for the proposed enterprise liability scheme is a working draft prepared by the enterprise liability advisory group. It has representatives of hospitals and health boards, the medical profession and patients among its membership. It is chaired by a principal officer in my Department and the secretariat to the group is provided by my Department.
