Vol. 538 No. 2

Written Answers. - Health Board Vacancies.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

87 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of vacancies for orthodontists, speech therapists, physiotherapists and occupation therapists in the Cavan-Monaghan community care area of the North Eastern Health Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17488/01]

The provision of health related services for people with physical and sensory disabilities, intellectual disabilities and older people is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the North Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
