Vol. 538 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Nora Owen

Question:

215 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Dublin will be refunded the cost of an X-ray; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17844/01]

The administration of the medical card scheme for the person mentioned by the Deputy is the responsibility of the chief executive officer of the Northern Area Health Board of the Eastern Regional Health Authority.

Accordingly, I have referred the matter to her for investigation and asked that she revert directly to the Deputy.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

216 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children when x-rays and CAT scans taken at Tallaght Hospital in June and August of 2000 will be released to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17845/01]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services for residents of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this matter and to reply to the Deputy directly.
