331 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will ensure that the application from Coláiste Raithin, Bray, County Wicklow to retain its substitute teaching post is considered favourably; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17965/01]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my Department has approved an additional allocation to County Wicklow VEC to cater for curricular needs in schools within the VEC scheme, including Coláiste Raithín, Bray, for the 2001-02 school year.

332 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science his views on a submission to the Statutory Body on Disadvantage outlining two areas of inequality regarding staffing arrangements at a school (details supplied) in Dublin 1. [17975/01]

I have been informed of the submission made by the school referred to by the Deputy. I have asked officials of my Department to examine the staffing position in the school in question in light of the points raised in the submission and to contact the school authorities to discuss the issue with them.
