Question:

122 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will outline the delay in the issuing of a passport to a person (details supplied); if he will ensure that his Department will do all to assist this person; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17873/01]

A passport was issued to the applicant on 18 June 2001. The passport officer has been in direct contact with the applicant and the Deputy to explain the circumstances of this case.
