Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

129 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the position in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; if this person is still in foster care; if the South-Western Area Health Board has determined a programme for the person; if this person's behaviour has deteriorated during foster care; if the board has attempted to resolve the behavioural problems; if a psychological assessment has been carried out; if this person is to be released into the custody of her mother; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18461/01]

As the Deputy will be aware, it is not the policy of my Department to comment publicly on individual cases. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to investigate the issues raised and to respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
