Vol. 538 No. 5

Written Answers. - EU Funding.

Seymour Crawford

Question:

135 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the amount of funding his Department has received from Brussels in each of the past ten years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18429/01]

The following table gives information on EU funding received by my Department between 1991 and 2000 in respect of certain co-financed capital programmes. During the same period, co-financed expenditure by my Department also attracted other Structural and Cohesion Fund aid; this was not appropriated in aid of my Department but was remitted directly by the EU to the Exchequer.
