156 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide a report on the proposal to extend the school bus service route from Loughill to Askeaton to include Knocknaboula, County Limerick; if this proposed addition to the route has been considered by his Department; if this proposed addition to the route will be approved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The family referred to by the Deputy resides 1.3 miles from the pick-up point to Askeaton post-primary centre. This service is within my Department's general guidelines.

A report has been requested in the matter. The Deputy will be informed of the outcome as soon as the report has been received and assessed.
