I propose to take Questions Nos. 40 and 67 together.
Details of the number of personnel by rank who have left the Defence Forces and the number recruited since 1 January 2001 are shown in the form of a tabular statement, which I propose to circulate in the Official Report. The number of applications received for general service recruitment since I launched the Defence Forces 2001 recruitment campaign in March 2001 is 525.
