Question:85 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a decision will be reached on an appeal made by a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [19168/01]

The person named lodged an appeal in January 2001 against a 10% penalty imposed on his REPS payment. In line with normal practice an investigation has taken place and a report has been prepared for the REPS appeals committee. The committee will consider the case in its entirety at its next meeting. When a final decision is taken he will be notified directly of the outcome.
