Vol. 539 No. 2

Written Answers. - Olden Report.

Paul Connaughton

Question:

153 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when the Olden Report into the circumstances surrounding the death of a person (details supplied) in County Galway will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19237/01]

I can inform the Deputy that having considered Mr. Olden's report and his covering letter to me, I have asked the Director General of the Prisons Service to clarify a number of issues. The director general will report to me shortly and I will then be in a position to publish Mr. Olden's report with a commentary on his observations and recommendations.
