Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Ulick Burke – the need to outline the way the new system will operate arising from the termination of community employment schemes for school services, with particular reference to the position of supervisors and school assistants employed under the old scheme; (2) Deputy Creed – the up-to-date position regarding negotiations in connection with transfer of funding for school services provided under community employment schemes; (3) Deputy Ó Caoláin – the violations of human rights in Turkish prisons; (4) Deputy Neville – the IFA dispute regarding compulsory purchase orders for road development; (5) Deputy Quinn – the urgent need for authorisation to be given to Gaelscoil Lios na Nog, Ranelagh to proceed to the next stage in the process of building a new refurbished school; (6) Deputy Ring – the position on the upgrading of the railway line from Westport to Dublin; (7) Deputy Deenihan – the need to provide funding for the Tintéain project, Ballybunion, County Kerry; (8) Deputy Seán Ryan – the need for the retention of the 13th permanent post, repairs to the existing buildings and a permanent extension for St. Theresa's national school, Balbriggan, County Dublin; (9) Deputy Fitzgerald – the need to outline the future role of supervisors in FÁS on CE schemes; (10) Deputy Timmins – the action which is being taken to recover the two paintings stolen on 26 June 2001 from Russborough House, County Wicklow; (11) Deputy Gerard Reynolds – the need to carry out a feasibility study for the future development of the Collooney to Claremorris rail line, and (12) Deputy Stanton – the closure of Irish Ispat in Cork with a loss of at least 400 jobs.

The matters raised by Deputies Ulick Burke, Stanton, Creed and Timmins have been selected for discussion.
