Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Ó Caoláin – the violations of human rights in Turkish prisons; (2) Deputy Seán Ryan – the need for the retention of the 13th permanent post, repairs to the existing buildings and a permanent extension for St. Theresa's national school, Balbriggan, County Dublin; (3) Deputy Gerard Reynolds – the need to carry out a feasibility study for the future development of the Collooney to Claremorris rail line; (4) Deputy Sargent – that the Minister for Health and Children articulate his policy in relation to a young adult who has strict medical needs as well as continuity of care in the last ten years but whose well-being is being adversely affected by her removal from the home-like environment she enjoyed, to move to temporary accommodation and frequent changes in nursing staff and if he will intervene to ensure this young woman's rights to a reasonable quality of life are upheld; (5) Deputy Roche – the detention in prison of two Irish citizens in Prague since 9 June; (6) Deputy Naughten – the background to the administration of animal vaccine to children under a State-sponsored vaccination programme and the need to establish a full public inquiry into the Trivax scandal; and (7) Deputy Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny)– the minimum education requirements for appointment to the position of blind telephonist in the public service.

The matters raised by Deputies Seán Ryan, Ó Caoláin, Roche and Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny) have been selected for discussion.
