139 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Galway will receive an appointment for orthodontic treatment; the length of time this person has been on the waiting list; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20240/01]

The provision of orthodontic services to eligible persons in County Galway is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board. I have asked the its chief executive officer to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
