Written Answers. - Departmental Properties.

Proinsias De Rossa

Question:

239 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason an alarm on Land Registry premises was left to ring from 22 June 2001 to 25 June 2001; the further reason the alarm company does not respond; if he will give assurances to the residents of Shanard Road and Shanliss Road that this will not recur; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20332/01]

I inform the Deputy that the Land Registry occupies premises at Shanowen Road which are shared with the Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs and the Revenue Commissioners. I have had inquiries made and am informed that the alarm was activated in the section which is occupied by the Revenue Commissioners.
