139 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of patients reporting to the accident and emergency departments of Dublin hospitals with injuries as a result of an assault in the most recent 12 month period for which he has data. [20528/01]

The information requested by the Deputy is not routinely collected by my Department. Therefore, my Department has asked the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to compile the information requested and to forward it to the Deputy directly.
