Vol. 540 No. 3
243 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will implement all aspects of the wildlife amendment Act without further delay. [20494/01]
Sections 3 and 46 of the Wildlife (Amendment) Act, 2000, were commenced on 12 March 2001. A draft ministerial order is currently with the Parliamentary Counsel which I anticipate will be cleared very shortly and enable me to immediately commence a further 72 sections. There will then be one remaining section of the Wildlife (Amendment) Act, 2000, Section 36, relating to the regulation of commercial shoot operators, which will be commenced following discussions with the parties concerned, as was promised during the passage of the Act.
