Vol. 540 No. 3

Written Answers. - Consultancy Contracts.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

269 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the total amount paid to consultancy or public relations firms in the past 12 months in respect of the promotion of the work of the Minister or her office; the number of persons engaged in public relations or consultancy work on a full-time basis and on a part-time basis in her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [20861/01]

With the exception of £600 paid to O'Callaghan and Associates, Marketing and Public Relations Consultants of Killybegs, Milford, County Donegal, in respect of Minister of State, Deputy Coughlan, my Department has not engaged in any public relations consultancies in relation to my work or that of my Department in the past 12 months; neither is anybody engaged in PR or consultancy work on a full or part time basis in my Department.
