Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy O'Shea – the need for a new district hospital building to replace the existing St. Vincent's District Hospital, Dungarvan, County Waterford; (2) Deputy John Bruton – the lack of availability of speech therapists and the problems which arise regarding the co-ordination of their work, training and availability; (3) Deputy Perry – the need for the extension at St. Edward's national school, Ballytivnan, Sligo; (4) Deputy Ellis – the proposed closure of Lilly Industries (Ireland) Limited, Ballinamore, County Leitrim; (5) Deputy Jim Higgins – the recent breach of security at Dublin airport; (6) Deputy Tom Hayes – the need to restore full employment at the CPI company in Tipperary; (7) Deputy Clune – the decision by the British Government to sanction a nuclear reprocessing plant at Sellafield, Cumbria; (8) Deputy Broughan – the need to establish a jobs task

force for Clonshaugh and Dublin northside; (9) Deputy Gerard Reynolds – the job losses at Lily-Valspar Plant at Ballinamore, County Leitrim, and the effect this will have on the local economy and (10) Deputy Deasy – the need to provide speech and language therapists for schools which cater for special needs.

The matters raised by Deputies Jim Higgins, Ellis and Reynolds, Tom Hayes and O'Shea have been selected for discussion.
