102 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance if he will instruct the Office of Public Works to make safe a wall (details supplied) in County Mayo. [21581/01]

The Office of Public Works is currently in discussions with Mayo County Council as to its plans for realignment of the road which may involve the relocation of the wall at Glenamoy Garda station.

103 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance if he will instruct the Office of Public Works to remove the silt bank of a river (details supplied) in County Mayo. [21582/01]

The silt bank in question was removed by the Office of Public Works during September 2001.

104 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance when the Office of Public Works will undertake a survey to ascertain the maintenance requirement of a drain (details supplied) in County Mayo; when the backwater will be removed from this drain to make it safe for humans and animals; and if the works will be carried out immediately. [21583/01]

The drain in question has been managed and the required works are due to commence during this week. The proposed works will involve the carrying out of repairs to two field accommodation bridges initially in order to lower the water levels. The road bridge will then be replaced in conjunction with Mayo County Council.
