In recent years my Department has made funding available to AMEN, an organisation which provides services to male victims of domestic violence. My Department also funded independent research in conjunction with the North-Eastern Health Board in relation to the incidence of domestic violence perpetrated against men. In 1999, £16,000 – 20,315.81 – was given to AMEN. In 2000, £10,000 – 12,697.38 – was allocated to AMEN and £40,000 – 50,789.52 – was set aside for research. This year, £50,000 – 63,486.90 – has been given to AMEN.
