Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Liam Aylward

Question:

216 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 356 of 12 June 2001, he will state the progress that has been made regarding the arranging of an admission date for the person concerned (details supplied). [23378/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in County Kilkenny rests with the South Eastern Health Board. I have again asked the chief executive of the board to investigate the specific case referred to by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.

Question:

217 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will request the Mater Hospital, Dublin, to arrange an appointment for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [23379/01]

The provision of hospital services for people residing in County Kilkenny is the responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board in the first instance. I have, therefore, asked the chief executive at the board to look into this matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
