Vol. 541 No. 5

Written Answers. - Sheep Grazing.

Seán Power

Question:

194 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Defence if he intends making changes to the number of sheep grazing on the Curragh, County Kildare, including the amount of time they graze each year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23335/01]

While it is not envisaged that there will be a reduction in the overall number of sheep permitted to graze on the Curragh, the new legislation, at present being prepared, will contain provisions which will allow for grazing to be more strictly controlled.
