197 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when payment of an extensification grant for 2000 will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; the reason for the delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23312/01]
Under EU regulations governing extensification premium, payment may only issue where the stocking density for the holding is up to and including two livestock units per hectare. The stocking density of the holding of the person named for the purposes of 2000 extensification premium was 2.608 livestock units per hectare.
