Vol. 542 No. 1

Written Answers. - Deportation Orders.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

116 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will review a deportation order pertaining to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23598/01]

I am informed that the case of the person concerned is the subject of ongoing legal proceedings. I can confirm that, on foot of a recent Supreme Court decision, the Chief State Solicitor has recently written to the legal representatives of the person concerned. A reply is awaited to this correspondence. It would be inappropriate for me to comment further in this case.
