241 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the composition, terms of reference, and budget of the Implementation Committee for the National Hazardous Waste Management Plan; the reasons for the delay in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The EPA's National Hazardous Waste Management Plan, which was published in July, recommended the establishment of a committee to guide the overall implementation of the plan, and this recommendation is currently being addressed. Other very significant elements of the plan will be addressed in a forthcoming policy statement on waste prevention and recovery, which is at an advanced stage and will be published shortly.
