Vol. 542 No. 6

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Billy Timmins

Question:

285 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding a new school (details supplied) in County Wicklow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25666/01]

An application has been received for an extension at the school to which the Deputy refers. The planning process was recently completed and the school authorities accepted the school's long-term projected enrolment figure of 425 students. The building unit of my Department recently issued the schedule of overall accommodation to the school authorities for their acceptance. On acceptance of the schedule of overall accommodation, the building unit of my Department will then be in a position to assess the deficit of accommodation at the school.
