Vol. 543 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Pat Rabbitte

Question:

99 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Health and Children the average length of time that a child can expect to wait for an expert eye examination at Temple Street Hospital; the length of time a person (details supplied) in Dublin 15 has been waiting; when this person can expect to receive an appointment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25628/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services for persons living in County Dublin rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the case referred to by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
