Vol. 543 No. 1

Written Answers. - Ambulance Service.

Liz McManus

Question:

170 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of ambulances available to the Dublin fire service for cover in the city and county in 1985, 1997 and 2000; the number of ambulance calls undertaken in respect of each year; the steps being taken to provide additional ambulances; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25759/01]

Pre-hospital emergency care for the city and county of Dublin is provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have, therefore, asked the regional chief executive officer of the authority to compile the information requested by the Deputy and to forward it to her directly.
