Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

225 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason persons (details supplied) in Dublin 11 were refused admission to St. Fergal's primary school, Finglas, Dublin 11; the location at which and the time frame within which these children might be admitted to school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25732/01]

My Department has no record of having received any correspondence in connection with this case.

In the absence of further information in relation to the case referred to by the Deputy, it is not possible for me to comment further at this stage. However, I have asked my officials to contact St. Fergal's primary school with a view to establishing the full circumstances of this case. On completion of those inquiries my officials will write directly to the Deputy regarding this matter.
