Vol. 543 No. 2

Written Answers. - Land Acquisition.

Michael Ring

Question:

175 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the statutory instrument which he intends to apply to acquire, via compulsory purchase acquisition order, the land specifically from the landfall at Glengad through and dissecting the Rossport area to the proposed gas terminal at Bellanaboy, County Mayo. [26991/01]

I have not yet received an application for compulsory acquisition rights over land from Enterprise Energy Ireland which proposes to lay a pipeline in the areas referred to in the Deputy's question.

Michael Ring

Question:

176 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if EEI has legally acquired the land required for a proposed gas processing terminal from Coillte Teoranta which was to be transferred and be sold subject to planning permission from Mayo County Council; the detail of the transaction between both parties; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26992/01]

The question of the acquisition of land by Enterprise Energy Ireland for any purpose, and the details surrounding any such acquisition, is a matter for the company.
