Vol. 543 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Denis Naughten

Question:

357 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that an ophthalmic eye surgeon will attend a clinic at the County Hospital, Roscommon; the reason this service is not provided at the hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26091/01]

The provision of medical services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to the issues raised and reply to the Deputy directly.
