Vol. 543 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Equipment.

John McGuinness

Question:

372 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a piece of equipment is missing from the laser angioplasty machine at St. James's Hospital, Dublin 8; if he will expedite a solution to this problem; and the reason back up parts are not available. [26189/01]

Services for eligible patients at St James's Hospital are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter referred to by the Deputy and to respond to him directly.
