Question:

385 Mr. Healy asked the Minister for Health and Children when he will approve an application by the South-Eastern Health Board for the third post of consultant obstetrician gynaecologist based at St. Joseph's Hospital, Clonmel. [26228/01]

The level of additional funding that will be made available to this Department for service developments in 2002 has not yet been agreed. As soon as the level of funding is known, this post will be considered in the context of the available funding and on the basis of the priority attached by the South-Eastern Health Board to the post.
