Vol. 543 No. 2

Written Answers. - Housing Aid for the Elderly.

Michael Ring

Question:

410 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason the Western Health Board had on 13 March 2001 approved the installation of two storage heaters in a person's home (details supplied) in County Mayo; and the reason this has not yet been sent out to tender. [26445/01]

As the Deputy is aware, the special housing aid scheme for the elderly in the Mayo area is administered by the Western Health Board, on behalf of the Department of the Environment and Local Government. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate this particular case and reply to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
