Vol. 543 No. 2

Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Paul Connaughton

Question:

775 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will sanction the provision of a full time remedial teacher at Corrandulla national school, County Galway; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a school of this size warrants a remedial teacher of its own; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26271/01]

Pádraic McCormack

Question:

865 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding an application for a full-time remedial teacher for Corrandulla national school, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26916/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 775 and 865 together.

The case made by the school in question for additional remedial teacher support has been examined in my Department. I can assure the Deputies that the needs of Corrandulla national school will be fully considered in the event of additional remedial teacher posts becoming available for allocation.
