Question:

123 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of rented senior citizen accommodation units operated by local authorities or voluntary hosing associations. [27380/01]

It is estimated that, at end 2000, there were some 14,300 units of accommodation for elderly persons in the local authority rented housing stock and some 4,000 units of such accommodation in the voluntary sector.
