67 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Finance the cost of increasing the threshold of house prices for stamp duty by £50,000 in each slice for both first-time buyers and other owner occupiers. [27376/01]

68 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Finance the cost of restoring the stamp duty thresholds and rates to the 1997 levels. [27377/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 67 and 68 together.

As it is not possible in the time available to prepare the costings necessary to answer the Deputy's questions, I shall forward a reply to him as soon as the information required is available.
