238 Mr. Healy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the extent of the national reserve for sheep quota; and the extent of the EU quota. [27847/01]

Ireland's national ewe quota is 4,956,000 premium rights. This comprises the sum of quotas held by individual farmers – 4,651,000 premium rights – plus the quota in the national reserve, 305,000 premium rights. Total EU quota rights to ewe and goat premium amount to 79,164,000 head.
