Vol. 543 No. 5

Written Answers. - Nursing Home Subventions.

John McGuinness

Question:

302 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will examine an application by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny for subvention payments; and if this person's means will be assessed and the cost of nursing home care at £16,000 per year considered in that context. [27530/01]

Responsibility for the administration of the nursing home subvention scheme in County Kilkenny rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
