Vol. 543 No. 5

Written Answers. - Prisoner Releases.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

117 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Government have agreed to release the killers of a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27707/01]

The position in relation to any early release for these prisoners has been stated on numerous occasions by both myself and the Taoiseach. I would like to assure the House that this has not changed and that the Government position remains that these persons will serve the full sentences imposed on them for this horrific killing.
