102 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will arrange support and care for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; the reason this person who was a patient in St. Canice's Hospital, Kilkenny, did not receive the appropriate treatment; and if he will conduct an inquiry into the handling of the case by the South-Eastern Health Board. Responsibility for the provision of care and treatment of patients attending St. Canice's Hospital rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
