Question:175 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will appoint a classroom assistant on a full-time basis at a primary school (details supplied) in County Cork. [28449/01]
Written Answers. - School Staffing.
I understand that my Department has no record of an application from the school in question for classroom assistant support for the child mentioned by the Deputy. The pupil in question is currently in receipt of resource teaching support. I have asked my Department's inspectorate to investigate the issue raised by the Deputy. My Department will be in contact with the school authorities once the inspectorate has reported.
