Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Perry – the need for a new school for Ardkeeran national school, County Sligo; (2) Deputy Tom Hayes – when approval will be given for the provision of two additional classrooms for Ballyclerihan national school in County Tipperary; (3) Deputy Michael D. Higgins – an polasaí atá ag an Aire Ealaíon, Oidhreachta, Gaeltachta agus Oileán chun teacht i gcabhair chun raon na gcláracha atá ar fáil do na Gaeltachtaí agus comhluadar na Gaeilge a chosaint i gcoinníollacha ina bhfuil fostaíocht na ndaoine i mbun na cláracha a chur ar fáil i mbaol; (4) Deputy Rabbitte – the reason education welfare officers have not been appointed for the Tallaght area; (5) Deputy Brian Hayes – the need to examine the situation of grandparents who have become foster parents to their grandchildren, and the provision of financial and other supports for such persons; (6) Deputy Ó Caoláin – an gá don Aire Ealaíon, Oidhreachta, Gaeltachta agus Oileán a stráitéas do chraolacháin i nGaeilge a léiriú i gcomhthéacs na deacrachtaí móra atá ag craoltóirí in Éirinn faoi láthair agus na hathraithe móra teicneolaíochta atá ag teacht; and (7) Deputy Owen – the overcrowding on the trains serving north Dublin and the deterioration in the service particularly over the last few weeks.

The matters raised by Deputies Perry, Rabbitte, Owen and Brian Hayes have been selected for discussion.
