228 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the amount of capital expenditure which was spent by her Department since July 1997 to 1 November 2001; the percentage of this which was spent in County Wicklow; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [29282/01]
The total capital expenditure by my Department from July 1997 to 1 November 2001 was approximately £360 million.
Unfortunately, our accounts system does not facilitate a full county breakdown over this period. However, I can confirm that significant figures were expended in Wicklow over those years. Prominent areas of expenditure included film projects and also Wicklow National Park.
