Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Perry – the announcement of the national ban on coal and PET coke resulting in fuel shortages, higher prices and hardship to consumers; (2) Deputy Creed – the need to expedite the provision of a new school building for Macroom national school, County Cork; (3) Deputy Michael D. Higgins – the Minister's policy on broadcasting in the Irish language, and in particular on such provision as might meet the communication rights of people in the Gaeltacht and those in the Irish language speaking communities outside it; (4) Deputy Penrose – the loss of 119 jobs at Foxteq Engineering, Mullingar, and the need to find replacement employment for these and other jobs lost in the area in recent months; (5) Deputy Breeda Moynihan-Cronin – the delay in providing a new national school for Rathmore, County Kerry in order to improve conditions for pupils attending the school; (6) Deputy Broughan – the need for additional funding for the Gheel Autism services in Dublin and for autism services generally; (7) Deputy Sheehan – the conditions prevailing in St. James's national school in Durrus, County Cork and the need to provide a new school; (8) Deputy McGrath – the loss of 119 jobs at Foxteq Limited. Mullingar, County Westmeath, and the need to establish a task force to find replacement industry for this factory; (9) Deputy Deenihan – the lack of services for autistic children in County Kerry and the need to provide extra resources.

The matters raised by Deputies Creed, Moynihan-Cronin, Sheehan and Broughan have been selected for discussion.
