Vol. 544 No. 4

Written Answers. - Dublin Port.

Ivor Callely

Question:

105 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if his predecessors gave undertakings or placed restrictions on reclamation in Dublin Bay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28950/01]

With reference to Dublin Port Company's last application for permission to reclaim foreshore in Dublin Port in 1998, my predecessor stated the granting of any permission would be conditional on planning permission being obtained before any reclamation commenced. I endorsed that position in reply to Dáil Question No. 18 on 8 February 2001.
