111 Mr. Timmins asked the Taoiseach the amount of capital expenditure by his Department from July 1997 to 1 November 2001; the percentage of this which was spent in County Wicklow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29271/01]

As part of the millennium celebrations, my Department made a millennium award of £1,600,000 or 2,031,581 to the people's millennium forests project. The flagship project will restore Irish woodlands with native species. Fourteen forests were chosen including Ballygannon Wood, Rathdrum, County Wicklow, and Shelton Abbey, Arklow, County Wicklow.
