Question:

210 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 10 will be scheduled for a hip replacement operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29651/01]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.

Question:

211 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the care and specialist treatment which is being extended to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if he will find a more suitable location for this person and provide the care and attention required; if a full report will be made available on the case; and if he will set out his intentions to deal with this situation. [29652/01]

Responsibility for the provision of services to persons with autism in the Kilkenny region rests with the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by you and to reply to you directly.
