231 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children the steps he will take to have a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath admitted to a hospital for a procedure; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29973/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in County Westmeath rests with the Midland Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.

232 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath has been admitted to the Mater Hospital for a scan; if the results of this scan have been sent to the person's general practitioner and to the patient; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
